Health and wellbeing at Moore Point and the Western Parkland City

Moore Point has been showcased as part of the Western Sydney Health Alliance’s (WSHA) series on health and wellbeing indicators in built environment practices within the Western Parkland City.

Erika Pawley, Director, Projects at Leamac Property Group, was interviewed and talked about how Moore Point will enable Liverpool City Council’s vision for Liverpool to become a great river city. She also talked about the ambition to make Moore Point a car-light precinct, where public transport, and walking and cycling, are encouraged as part of a commitment to healthy placemaking principles. She further added, “Partnerships are actually the core of our approach in everything we do.”

The project, led by the two landowners Leamac and Coronation Property, is helping to drive the future of Liverpool. Alongside the delivery of new homes, jobs and infrastructure, the Planning Proposal for Moore Point includes provision for the planting of over 8,000 new trees and the creation of 8 kilometres of riverwalk along the Georges River. The Planning Proposal recently received a Gateway Determination from the State Government and is expected to go on Public Exhibition shortly.
